MISSION
The Association delivers its mission through the following aims:
Strengthen capacities and skills for research and management of HIV/AIDS and its comorbidities by creating a network that can promote research collaborations by sharing knowledge, exchanging information, and promoting best clinical practices between WISH members in European and non-European countries;
To cooperate with other national, foreign and international societies and institutions with similar profile of activity;
To contribute to improving scientific knowledge in understanding the virus, prevention, and treatment of PWH;
Promote training, awareness, and public communication with a focus on HIV/AIDS through educational campaigns and advocacy initiatives.
The Association is free, non-partisan, non-political. It refrains from any form of discrimination based on race, religion, sexual orientation, gender or disability.
In all its activities, from research to training and communication, the Association is guided by principles of fairness, female empowerment, multidisciplinarity and scientific integrity.
The Association achieves its purpose through the synergistic efforts of its Members who act on the basis of the voluntary activity.
